Turf Installation
Here at AOK Turf, we offer a range of services all to do with turf. We will install your turf, however, we do not do the landscaping/preparation beforehand.
Our installation service includes rolling, cutting, and leaving a clean, professional look.
The turf varieties we have on offer include:
Empire Zoysia
Empire Zoysia Turf is a very soft and easy to manage lawn that has a strong wear tolerance and has amazing drought tolerance.
Empire Zoysia is well suited to both open and moderately shaded environments, and is a versatile lawn that can be grown all around Australia.
Blue Couch
Blue Couch is native to Australia, meaning it was built for Australian conditions. Blue Couch requires a minimum of six hours of sunlight each day. All it takes is light watering and it will recover well. Blue Couch is a beautiful blue/green and is soft to the touch. It is also hard wearing and has some drought resistance.
Sapphire Buffalo
Sapphire Buffalo grass has a number of benefits like other soft leaf buffalo grasses, including low water required, greener in winter, deep roots, and is hard-wearing. One of the best characteristics of sapphire turf is that it has a fine texture unlike other soft buffalo.
Sapphire is recommended for up to 70% shade in areas with low wear and up to 50% shade in areas with moderate to high wear.
Palmetto Buffalo
Palmetto Soft Leaf Buffalo is one of the best low maintenance grasses on the market, making it the most popular turf in the world. Like other soft leaf buffalo, Palmetto has a great shade tolerance, only needing 2-4 hours of direct sunlight each. day. It performs well in the sun but thrives in shaded areas where other grasses fail.
Among all of this, Palmetto is drought-resistant and is good at self-repairing.
Wintergreen Couch
Wintergreen Couch is considered the best all-around lawn on the market because it thrives in full sunlight and some shade. Wintergreen Couch is a good self-repairing turf and is great for hard-wearing areas.
Wintergreen Couch is excellent for cold and frost tolerance, making it ideal for a wide range of conditions and tolerates a variety of soils.
Sir Walter
Being a native Australian turf, it was built to take whatever weather conditions Australia could throw at it. Due to this, it can survive in full sun, shade, extreme heat, frost, and drought.
Sir Walter is also child-friendly as it has soft-leaf grass and is low-allergenic.
Tahoma 31
Tahoma 31 is a great variety of turf that has an attractive dark green appearance with a fine leaf. Perfect for home lawns, recreational landscapes and more. Other qualities of Tahoma 31 include:
- Performs well in full sun as well as in 63% of shaded areas
- It is hardy and has a deep-rooted system with fast establishment on most sites, making it beneficial for hard wear areas
- Has a lower growth rate which helps with less watering, fertiliser, pesticides and mowing.
- Its drought, shade and wear tolerance is better than other Bermuda or Couch varieties on the market.
